Rationale
Endogenous organic acid with significant systemic exposure in dermal use
Chemical description
(To be edited, initial data ST OCT 04) Azelaic acid, endogenous antibacterial substance in creme 200 mg mg / g for dermal use twice daily in acne of moderate severity. Less than 5 % is absorbed through the skin. Urinary excretion is stated to be 25 mg/24 h.
