Rationale
Inorganic compound. Accumulates in bone tissue. Not metabolised. Two references consider it (probably) safe.
Chemical description
Aminophosphonate used in postmenopausal osteoporosis where it inhibits bone resorbtion. Selectively localized to resorbtion localities in the skeleton where it inhibits osteoclastic activity. Stored in bone tissue. South African list: use with care. French list: authorized.
