Rationale
Inorganic compound. Accumulates in bone tissue. Not metabolised.
Chemical description
Biphosphonate with osteoclast inhibiting properties. Used in tumor-induced hypercalcemia. Intravenously administered ibandronate is mainly bound to bone tissue, the remaining part being excreted by the kidneys in unchanged form.
