Rationale
Pyrvinium is not absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and is therefore not porphyrinogenic.

Phenylpyrrol methylquinolone (administered as embonate)
Therapeutic characteristics
Pyrvinium is an anthelmintic with special effect against Enterobius vermicularis (pinworms).
Side effects that may occur include nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhoea.
Hepatic exposure
Practically none.
Metabolism and pharmacokinetics
Pyrvinium is not significantly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract (Smith 1976).
