Rationale
Administered locally in the eye and systemic exposure is insignificant.

Therapeutic characteristics
Moxifloxacin eye drops are used in the treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis.
Hepatic exposure
Moxifloxacin is metabolized mainly via sulfate or glucuronide conjugation, while the rest is excreted as the unchanged form. It is probably CYP450 independent (SPC).
