Probably insignificant systemic exposure.
Chemical description
Contact laxative giving rise in the colon to free phenols that inhibit water resorbtion, administered perorally in a dose o5 5-10 mg/d. No data on systemic absorbtion. Used in Swedish porphyria wards.
